WANTED: Law and Order on Planet Earth

I don't know about you, but...

What if?

Stop a minute and just think: Think about what a much better world it would be if humans didn't kill humans, if children respected their parents and were taught to obey them and respect their elders, if people were so concerned about the other's welfare that they wouldn't steal from each other and we could trust one another and throw away all locks and keys; if people were honest and told the truth to each other; if everyone actually believed that it really is more blessed to give than to receive. A world where there was no divorce or broken homes, no crime or jails or prisons, no juvenile delinquency or gangs, no sickness or disease or pain or suffering because the laws dictating all these things were adhered to and obeyed?

All that's wrong in the world is a result of broken laws, laws set in motion to regulate humanity for their good welfare, safety, peace and happiness. The laws that regulate the universe must work or all the stars and planets would be out of orbit and helter skelter. But mankind hasn't given the laws that regulate humans a chance! It's been just a big free for all since Adam and Eve chose their own ways instead of submitting to law and order.

This hub was created to serve as a banner for and not against God’s law - the ultimate self-help manual for life.

All that’s wrong with this world is due to the fact that it be AGAINST God’s law. From the very beginning there was defiance. Just one simple, yet oh so significant rule, a test Adam and Eve failed to pass. All the ugly acts that people do against each other are results of broken laws. There is no order in this world and that is maddening!

When life’s map on our trip of destiny is thrown out the window, the directions for the trip are blown away and gone; now there is confusion, we’ve lost the details for the way to get there and become lost.

Psalm 119:136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

King David and God's Law

Of all the psalms that David wrote, the 119th overflows out of the abundance of the thoughts of his heart, all about God’s laws and ways. David makes mention of God’s law 25 times in this psalm alone. In verse 97 he shouts, “Oh! how I love thy law!”

And even though he loved the law, he still sinned. His shortcomings are included in the Bible for good reason. Because although he knew God’s law and sometimes fell short, he also knew of the tenderness of God, his forgiveness and mercy and always turned to and not away from God when he sinned. He always repented and got back on the right track.

And that is why…God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ Acts 13:22

God knew David, although not perfect, could be trusted to do everything He wanted him to do.

End Result of Reading and Heeding the Law

King David will be raised up - resurrected - They shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them Jer 30: 8-9

David will be a king forever, helping others, teaching others how to live and walk in God’s laws for their own good and welfare and peace in the millennium.

The Future

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever:

  • and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Ezekiel 37:23-25

A New Testament Disciple Speaks

  • For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. I John 5:3
  • He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. I John 2:4

Jesus' Own Words

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14: 23-25

Comforting Words of Help:

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
